The P320 is a striker fired, Safe Action pistol built on a polymer frame and is Sig's newest in its line of pistols. Designed for law enforcement with law enforcement input, it is the most adaptable and modular pistol on the market today, designed to fit any application, purpose, and user, and defies convention and comparison with revolutionary features that stand alone.
The P320 shares the same frame and magazines as the DAO P250 and is sleek and slim with minimal external controls to catch on clothing or other obstacles. Unique to the P320 is the ability to remove the entire fire control assembly from the frame of the pistol as one solitary piece. The assembly can then be put into various combinations of frames of different lengths and grip sizes (large, medium, small) in order to accomodate every hand size and application. Slides are also easily changed to convert to different calibers that fit on all the available sizes of frames, making this firearm extremely modular and versatile for shooters of all hand sizes.
The trigger group can easily be taken out for cleaning and servicing and drops in without a fuss into the different frames available. A robust safety system designed around the concerns and needs of military and police officers provides an enhanced level of safety not found on most modern service pistols. The gun is drop safe without the need for a manual external safety and does not require tools or a trigger pull for disassembly. A full length M1913 rail is available for accessory mounting.
This P320 is available in the standard full size, medium grip configuration.
